Asbestos Management Planners:

The individuals at the University of Maryland, responsible for performing hazard evaluations and recommending appropriate response to conditions of damage. Specific duties include:

  1. Completes and maintains Building inspector accreditation,
  2. Completes 16-hour EPA-accredited training course (4-hour annual retraining) provided by an accredited training provider,
  3. Conducts hazard assessments by interpreting asbestos inspection reports and determines necessary response actions,
  4. Evaluates and selects asbestos control options,
  5. Maintains hazard assessment and corrective response records, and
  6. Develops an operations and maintenance plan.
