Facility Coordinator:

The individual at University of Maryland with responsibility for coordinating provision asbestos-related of training and interfacing with the Maryland Asbestos Oversight Committee. This individual has the following specific duties:

1. Attends scheduled facility coordinator meetings to keep updated on asbestos program activities,
2. Provides reports to the Facility Program Manager concerning new regulations/policies and status of asbestos management within the facility,
3. Coordinates and schedules provision of accredited asbestos training for appropriate employees,
4. Coordinates provision of asbestos awareness training for all maintenance and custodial employees working in facilities with asbestos- containing materials,
5. Acts as liaison between the University Health Center's Occupational Health Unit services and University employees,
